A simulated corridor, the real rules

90 minutes of a morning on ten miles of two-lane highway with 25 LaneWarden nodes and one flagging operation. Play it, scrub it, open any device, acknowledge alerts and post a message. Everything is computed in your browser from the same rules the system runs.

Simulated data. The demonstration corridor is fictional. Work area A runs one-lane, two-way with flaggers between MP 15.3 and MP 15.8. Speeds, alerts and the WZDx feed come from a model, not a real road.

A long westbound hold builds a queue toward the crest at MP 16.8. As the tail approaches the hill, the warning moves to a sign far enough upstream that drivers see it before the crest.

What to watch

Slow, then stopped traffic at P-4 puts the warning on MK-WB, the nearest sign half a mile before the tail.
As the tail grows to within half a mile of MK-WB, the warning moves upstream to M-4.
With the tail just past the crest, only a sign at least 1,000 ft before the crest may carry it.
The 15-minute delay alert goes to the traffic control supervisor.
